Thank you SO much! (For everything of course, but in this case specifically I was talking about the fact that you gave me such wonderful answers to my questions!)
I hope Taft starts feeling better! Being sick... is... well, I'm sure Taft can tell you how that is! It's not fun, that's for sure! So get better Taft! (Because, you know, you always have such control over that...) (Isn't that strange, sometimes we make things sound like an order 'Get Well Soon'... well, yes, if we had control over that we would get well soon... Hmm...)
I bet Keana and Lanae are just having a blast sharing a room! Ah, what fun, a huge family sleep over!!! Those are always the best! (Not that I've had any sleep overs that aren't family... so I can't really compare, but I can't imagine that there are any better!)
I can't imagine three days of Gingerbread house creating. I feel like I would eat too much of the Candy! Haha, but they probably make some pretty legitimate houses. :D
As for my week... This week I have spent a LOT of time on the phone trying to get a hold of people to set up lessons... I've also spent a lot of time having people not answer or 'upptaget' me (A.K.A. they... it's not that they don't answer, it's that they actively don't answer... I don't know if we have a word for that in English...) But, hey, by the time I get home I'm going to be SUPER skilled at the whole talking on the phone thing. Well, unless I just continue to be awkward at it. Which is also a possibility. :D Let's just say that Sister Richins likes to laugh when she listens to me call people.
But... Something SUPER exciting happened this week... On Friday night... wait for it... wait for it... we had a JUL FEST! It was SO much fun! (Christmas Party) We had some of our investigators and MA (Mindre Aktiv, Less-Actives) come and they had a blast. There was food, and singing, and socialization, and a general atmosphere of love and belonging. It was a wonderful reminder that yes, Christmas is going to be different this year. By a lot. Some of the most important parts, like being with my family, aren't going to happen. But the most important part. The reason for the season... Christ. He hasn't changed, and he won't change. (You should watch that Mormon Message by the way, it's a good one...) (Sorry, that was inspecific, when I said 'That Mormon Message' I meant 'The Reason for the Season')
I also wanted to share a quick poem with you...
'For unto us a child is born
unto us a son is given.
Did you know it's not the norm,
to believe that he is risen.
The world has no idea,
what great gift we've received.
The chance to be redeemed,
and the hope that we'll be freed.
Unto us a child was born,
To us the light was given.
The Savior of the World,
Has indeed been Risen.'
So the Jul Fest was really fun! I quite enjoyed it! Food was good, everyone that came had a great time. It was just... wonderful.
Selran came with her three daughters, Henric came, the Barahonas came. Obviously lots of members came too... Ah! Oh, and there was a Jul Tompten. (Santa Claus) that was giving presents to all of the children (up to 18) and he would call them up by age, and then after he gave some to the eighteen year olds he called up 'Missionärerna' I think we were more excited about it than the young ones! It was a LOT of fun.

Anyways, back to this slightly abnormal lesson. So we'd actually finished the lesson and Ken was sort of leaving, and he asked us if we could drink. (You know, alcohol, beer what not...) and then he started talking about how Science had recently proved that Beer was good for you... Yep, you read that right. Beer is now good for us. Apparently it slows down the natural decay of cells in our bodies so we live longer... (Apparently this same article also mentioned that Coffee was bad because it did the exact opposite, it sped up the natural destruction of cells in our bodies...) Either way, I think I'm going to keep away from both Coffee and Beer... It just seems altogether better that way.
And then the next day... SERVICE! That was SO much fun! We went to Viebeke's and we moved wood. LOTS of it. It was all four of the missionaries. 3 young men, Tommy, Jacob, and Jacob's friend Emma. And we just got to work! It was AMAZING! I loved it! I mean, really! We got to move big heavy wood, and we just laughed and talked and laughed and worked and laughed.... I just love to serve... and laugh. :D And Jacob's friend Emma was SO fun! She hadn't been planning on coming to the service project, but she was at the JUL Fest the night before and she decided that maybe it'd be fun. And we really did have fun! There's something great about serving people! It makes you feel as though... well, as though you're doing something good... but I suppose that is sort of... well, a 'no-duh' statement.
And we moved lots of wood, and maybe we'll go back another time, because trust me, there is still a lot of wood to move! The pile is HUGE! Like, it's three of me tall and like, well, it's really wide... But the important part was that we got to serve... that and now I have sore muscles because I gave them a nice good workout, and I had the chance to get dirty and have lots of fun... :D
Anyways, that was good, and than after the service project Sister Richins and I decided to go bring brownies to Inga, she's in the hospital. And so we get to the Hospital in Hässleholm... and we go in... and it is COMPLETELY empty. Like... spooky empty. Like I felt a little creeped out (And there was a weird statue head that was staring at me, yeah, definitely creepy). And then... wait for it. The doors wouldn't open to let us out! Duh duh duh DUH!!!! Yeah, abandoned hospital, locked doors, and an over-active imagination (which you KNOW I have...) Yeah. It was interesting. And now you're likely wondering. What happened? How ever did you survive? Well... turns out... it wasn't actually an abandoned hospital, we went walking around and eventually we found nurses. And they helped us get out of the hospital... Which actually wasn't locked... you just had to press the buttons for an extended period of time... So I felt a little blonde... But that's ok! Because I am blonde! Right?
So, we realize that there are actually several buildings to this hospital and we go around and we think we know which one is Inga's building, and we go down this super steep hill to get the building... and we're wrong... it's actually the building right by where we first entered... which means we have to go back UP the super steep hill. It's like climbing up to the Poulsen's from the Woodland Hills house. Anyway. That was fun, we eventually found Inga, and we had an adventure in the meantime. Great right!
And then Sunday was amazing as Sunday's always are! And we sang (the missionaries) in Sacrament meeting... and... well that was actually stressful... because it sort of got thrown together last minute. Alright, so we had it sorted out, and then last minute we lowered the key by two notes... which isn't a huge deal... except I was singing Alto... and that made it REALLY low... and... yeah... that was really stressful. Especially since Alto is not my forte... But I was supposed to be singing... Forte. (Haha...) Anyways, it worked out, and then I did something super fun called, stretching my abilities. It was super great. And I had fun with it. After it was over.
And really, life is just really good. We went to the Oremalms for Lunch today and they were super sweet and super nice. And they made me laugh lots! And you know, the more you laugh the longer you live!
I'm going to live forever.
No Questions! (Strange I know!)
(Actually, I do, but the Elders are waiting for us, so I'll ask them next week.)
Love,
Kjanela
